Annie beamed at the compliment, looking fondly upon her wooden creation.
“Thank you so much! I try my best to fill each creation of mine with love and care- I’m so glad it caught your eye! You said you used to have one when you were a kid? Me too!”
She lifted the duck from its spot, turning it around in her her hands.
“They’re so charming, aren’t they? No fancy gimmicks or anything of the sort, but oh, the little adventures I’d take them on! We’d rescue princesses and restore power to our hometown… what about you?”
The duck now sat upright in her palm, held out for him to take.

Nikola: I used to imagine me and the duck were best friends, we did everything together... I named it жута! It means yellow in my native language... When it got old and lost some paint I made sure to add a brand new coat of paint, I even switched colors! I miss those times where my only worry was to be happy...
