Just so I understand it better; Is this blog going to be comic only focused and not ask blog, or is this blog ending?

Sadly I don’t have the time to dedicate to a comic so the blog is ending and all content for JetStream is moving to my mod blog (so if I ever draw her again it’ll be over there)

Update-

Hey guys, this is the mod. A long time has passed now since I put this blog into hiatus and I finally came to the conclusion that I’m no longer interested in pursuing JetStream’s story in an ask blog format. Over the time of this blog I built up story elements with many amazing friends that though I enjoy greatly don’t work as well with how I enjoy running my ask blogs.

On top of all this the original direction of this blogs story was rather depressing and though I feel stories like that have a place in media, it’s no longer what I want to write. I put a lot of my own experiences into JetStream and as I heal and grow continuing to tell that story is like keeping myself in the past.

This doesn’t mean I’m done with the character however! She, her husband, and her daughter are all still around and I’m sure will be posted from time to time on my mod blog (@temper-temper) and maybe get cameos on @askxxviperxx. If and when she does however I do plan on her no longer being Air Force but Navy (and I plan to have her of spent her time on the USS-Equestria; those who know, know)

And though I rather not go into details I do want to point out that this has less to do with anything between myself and another tumblr user and more to do with the facts stated above. I’m choosing to end her ask blog because her story would work better with a comic currently than the ask blogs I take pleasure in running.

Thank you guys for understanding! If there are questions feel free to ask but after awhile I’ll no longer answer them on this blog.

Mod: Hey guys I’m sorry for the lack of updates and interactions on my part, the truth of the matter is I’ve been suffering with what I believe is a pretty bad depression and it’s made drawing all together pretty hard. I hate to be stuck like this because I want to tell Steam’s story but also because so many amazing people have drawn her and interacted with her and I keep getting myself stuck because I want to draw responses but struggle with time.

Mod: YOOOOOO this is so good! I really get the vibes off this and it really is JetStream! She totally has nightmares and even nightmares over things that COULD of happened. It’s also so nice seeing her and Alby interact without Alby being mega depressed- gen I adore it! Thank you!

The Fall

When I look around me, seeing the Ponies I've trained with for so long standing ready to face their fears, to do their duty, it warms my heart. But it also pains me, when I imagine what could happen.

Everypony held their breath, waiting for the signal. Though we were high in the clouds, where there should have been a lot of wind, you could hear a pin fall on the ground. Silence before the storm.

It's not loudness that I can't stand. It's the silence. The deafening silence, just moments before it happens. Everything you trained for, everything that you hoped would never come, and here it is.

Then, we saw them on the horizon. Thousands of them, appearing from behind the clouds. The signal sounded from our commander, and we flew off. My wingman was beside me as we headed to meet them.

First contact, and I heard the awful sounds of bones breaking, and the sight of unconscious foes falling down to the ground. I tried my best to stay focused, when I heard my wingman call my name.

There must have been at least a dozen on his tail, as he flew around the dark clouds trying to lose his pursuers. He needed to stay outside of the cloud, but they got the best of him, and he flew in.

I can still hear his voice calling out from inside the cloud, only moments before I saw him fall. I rushed down, trying to catch up, all while I heard him call my name. "Stream, Stream, please!"

I managed to grab him, but I couldn't lift us both up. We plummeted towards the ground, and I tried my best to shield him from the worst of the impact. Still, I faintly heard his voice: "Stream!"

Before we hit the ground, I woke up in cold sweat in my bed, with Alby standing next to me, holding my hoof. She heard me scream and came to check on me. Apparently, she had been calling my name…

I burst out in tears, sobbing uncontrollably, as she took me into her arms. I don't know how long we sat there, as she gently held me, and quietly sang a lullaby. The same one I often sang to her.

I can't express how happy I am to have met her. She's the only one who's able to calm me down after such a nightmare.
