Summary: Seven years after his disappearance, seven years after he was given up for dead, Will Graham returns to Baltimore, Maryland, very much alive. Of course, only Will knows what else he brought back with him.
Chapter Excerpt:
“Might be nice to have a little reunion.” Every syllable is laced with skepticism, as Will responds, “This is the man who tried to hang you.” “At your request, as I recall.” Hannibal pauses for a moment, before adding, “Perhaps I can return the favor.”
“Don’t make me handcuff you to your bed.” “I never took you for the type.”
“What type?” “The handcuffing type.” Aware that Hannibal is making fun of him, or at least having fun with him, Will keeps his face carefully neutral, although he still flushes slightly at the implication.
Choosing not to dignify that with a direct response, Will instead says, “I’m going to go take a shower.”
In a tone that is unmistakably playful, Hannibal asks, “A cold shower?” Will is torn between amusement and annoyance, which he tries to channel into cool indifference as he replies, “A hot shower. A very hot shower.”

Paradiso is set immediately post TWOTL, featuring the slowest of slow burn Hannigram relationships, and a lot of conversation between Will and Hannibal. Also some cannibalism puns, references to homoerotic Classics literature, and Hannibal-style flirtation.
Chapter Excerpt:
Hannibal’s touch is light, fingers barely ghosting over skin, but even that small pressure is enough to make Will wince, despite himself.
Hannibal stills in his movements, and asks, “May I?”

Will nods, once, and Hannibal carefully pulls aside the collar of his shirt, examining the stitches and the inflamed skin around it.
“You should be more careful.”

“I’m used to working with my hands.”
“Or are you simply used to ignoring the demands of your body?”
“Why not both?”
Will’s words and tone are light, although the lines of his face are strained and his eyes still bloodshot.
Hannibal answers with a small smile of his own, giving a gentle squeeze to Will’s uninjured shoulder, before saying, “Wait here.”

Summary: Seven years after his disappearance, seven years after he was given up for dead, Will Graham returns to Baltimore, Maryland, very much alive. Of course, only Will knows what else he brought back with him.
It’s been close to two years since I updated this story, but better later than never, I guess? (For the record, the tumblr internal monologues  and my other Hannibal WIP, “Paradiso” are not abandoned, even though they too haven’t been updated in awhile.) I even have the next chapter almost ready to post!
Chapter Excerpt
The silence is interrupted by the sound of tires, distant but drawing nearer.
At the same moment that the thought forms in Will's head, Hannibal gives voice to it. “That must be Jack Crawford. Perhaps your killer has struck again.” “He’s not my killer—and maybe you shouldn’t be standing in the middle of the living room when Jack Crawford arrives?” “I’ll be in the kitchen cleaning up. I trust you’ll do Jack the discourtesy of not inviting him inside.” “I don’t suppose this is a social call, not at this hour.” “No, I don’t suppose it is.”
And then there’s a knock at the door.
After making sure Hannibal has moved out of sight, Will grabs his robe and reaches for the door handle, before remembering to disengage the alarm.
When he does open the door—not all the way, just enough—he’s unable to think of something suitably casual to say, but fortunately Jack isn't in the mood for pleasantries.
“There’s been another killing. Might be connected to the last two. I’m on my way over there now, and so are you.”
Knowing better than to disagree when Jack is in this frame of mind, Will merely says, “Just give me a minute to get dressed.”
And then he quickly shuts the door before Jack can even consider following him inside.

#still worried about Will 'Graham Cracker Murder Muffin Life-a-Waking-Nightmare' Graham 2017
I know it’s been such a long time since we last heard about our little murder muffin, not to mention our favorite lovestruck cannibal and Jack “plausible deniability” Crawford.
But good news! I have a feeling we’ll be getting a new post very, very soon :)

I usually keep my Sherlock-related posts to my primary blog (@artsandletters221b), but I’m making an exception because I want to spread the word to as many people as possible, especially since @the-winnowing-wind has provided a great run down ways to watch this amazing show.
To my fellow fannibals: If you know any Sherlockians who are feeling hurt and betrayed after the most recent episode, please let them know that they should check out Hannibal because...
Hannigram is canon. Bryan Fuller loves us. This is the best fandom anyone could have asked for. The more the merrier!
Tumblr media
To the Sherlock fandom from the fannibals: We know you’re in shock. Here, have a blanket. And then come join us!
Hannibal won’t queerbait you. It won’t completely screw over it’s female characters. It’s not in love with its own cleverness. It’s just an amazing show that is at its core a love story between two men. And it’s beautiful.

Hannibal is a man with a lot of free time on his hands, so it’s hard to imagine he really has that many patients in the first place.
To be fair, it’s hard to really “build a practice” when your patients keep dropping dead.

Yeah, we all know that reading that article out loud was absolutely necessary and not at all gratuitously cruel to poor, traumatized Will Graham.

Is everything OK?
Yes, it is, but I am sorry for the long delay since my last internal monologue post. Things at my job have been crazy, and when I’m tired, I just lose all creativity, hence my own personal hiatus he-ate-us from tumblr and from posting new fanfic.
On the bright side, I’ve finally gotten around to working on a few posts, so a new internal monologue should be up some time today :)
P.S. In general, I’m terrible about following up with asks and messages here on tumblr (and comments on AO3), but I do read all of them, and one of these days, I hope to catch up on responding to everything. In the meantime, I just want to say that I really do appreciate hearing from you guys!

This was the very first Hannibal fanfic I ever wrote (or posted). It was originally going to be a one shot about Hannibal carrying Will from Muskrat Farm to Wolf Trap (hence the title), but then I decided that I wanted to explore what happened once they reached their destination.
Chapter 2: Means of Influence
As soon as the house comes into view, Will starts to stir, emerging out of a deep sleep, disoriented, eyes unfocused, mouth moving without making sounds.
Hannibal looks down at the man wrapped in a wool coat, enclosed in his arms.
“Welcome home.”
