ive been getting so hyperfixated in vtm lately as im playing a chronicle rn as a gay little cappadocian guy and its so fun to listen to people talk bout it.
hows josiah's relationship with his sire? are they the saint person? (feel free to reply in private if you dont want your chronicle mates to get spoiled haha
Ooooh you're playing one of the cult clans!!! I personally haven't played any of them yet, I've only done Toreador and Tremere so far :3
I LOVE vtm!!! I love collecting the core books and honestly just ANY material I can get my hands on- I have volumes 1 and 2 of Winter's Teeth and the VTM Corebook and the Sabbat Corebook! I also got gifted the dice set for Christmas :3
Josiah has a fantastic relationship with his sire! (At least, that's what he and the church members will tell you ;3) His sire IS indeed The Saint! The Saint is very, very old. His age is adjustable to whatever the dm of each chronicle is comfy with, but he's at minimum an antidelluvian <3
He was embraced as a reward for his faith and loyalty to Sancti Agni's church, which only made him more loyal and more steeped in his faith. Some may say that the existence of vampires would go against his catholicism, but let's just say that it fit quite perfectly ;)

I can't reveal a lot because my chronicle mates are on tumblr- but I can tell you the summary!
Josiah Clairvoux is from a small town known as Sancti Agni. The town is run by the small Catholic church within it, which is pretty much all that's known about it by outsiders because the town is very secretive!
Josiah was born to the Clairvoux family within Sancti Agni in 1949, and was embraced at the age of 21 into clan Tremere. He worked at the church as a lector until 2022, when he was sent to Pheonix, Arizona (where our chronicle is currently happening!) to work as a priest at one of their churches. Of course, he didn't go without reason, but when asked why he simply says it's "church business."
I absolutely LOVE HIM! He's my favorite oc right now, there's soooo much concept art I wanna do for him and I'll post it all on my art acct and toyhouse when I do <3
