HEY srry... i like your art, i always really wanted to ask. how do you. like. idk how to explain it, i guess get into the ability to DRAW horror. ive drawn it before, i DO. mostly body horror yk? but it doesn't... really evoke anything for me. something about your body horror is so provocative and raw, and i suppose i cant really get horror across. not through visual arts at least. i do more audio horror format. im rambling here but how do you feel like you do it? does it come naturally to you or is it something that you kinda worked towards? asking because my friend's wondering if i could draw her something horror oriented and i'd LOVE to, im just nervous i guess. when i think of horror, i think of your art. sorry if this is asking a lot, im just curious

I think the horror in my work is the intimacy of bodily parts? like my stuff always ends up having yonic or phallic structures and often times without doing it on purpose! bodily liquids and textures as well. my professors and friends keep finding imploding/ gaping assholes in my paintings and drawings. That is not intentional! and that's what's scary!

just don't hold back when things get weird. it may look unsettling or make you uncomfortable: then it's working. at least for me it's not a conceptual horrific thing that I plan. I obsess over senses and random things like how the pores in your ear look or feel for example. so you lean into however the drawing wants to go even if it's 'wrong'. something as simple as you fucked up while drawing a face, but you decided to embrace it and continue.
