I struggle with chronic pain, but I have this horrible mindset that mine isn't "valid" because it might not be as severe as some other people's. I have Carpal Tunnel, and unfortunately not at a stage that surgery is really an option, and I have some days so bad I can't even use one or both of my hands. And, I often feel afraid to talk about it because I feel like people will just tell me that mine isn't REAL pain. And, I have no idea how to handle that.
I'm really sorry that you're dealing with that, it sounds terrible.
I think it might be important (from one chronic pain haver to another) to remember that a 0 on the pain scale is what you're meant to feel. Zero pain. If you feel more than zero pain, then it's real pain. A competent healthcare provider will measure your pain based on if it impacts your daily life and how often.
Also, zero pain doesn't mean 'pain you've gotten used to'. This is a very common issue among chronic pain patients. A normal amount of pain is NO pain.
The area between 'no pain' and 'not physically wrong enough for surgery' is extremely broad. Some pain -can't- be treated with surgery, even if that pain is a 10. Surgery should not be your goalpost for if you're actually in pain or not.
It may help you to find support groups, because I sincerely think most chronic pain havers would not hear your experiences and go 'lol sounds fake'. Most of us have those exact experiences where healthcare providers or non-pain-having individuals discredit us, so most of us don't do that to others.

its important to remember that long term chronic pain rewires your brain so even after you find a treatment plan that relieves some or all of that pain, you're still gonna have days where you wanna tear all your hair out.
it might feel like it's for no reason! but its cos your brain has new highways in it and traffic still goes thru there whether it makes sense or not
if you're having a bad day, just let your body have a break. Don't try to rationalize it cos the conclusion you might come to is 'wow even with treatment I'm useless' and that's always bad. If your brain and body are telling you "I Can't Do That Right Now", even if you can't figure out the reason, just listen

Question: did you get to experience the eclipse and if so what was it like for you?
Statement: my snake, Dandelion has been hanging out in my bed the past couple nights, and last night he fell asleep on my chest 🥺 it was very cute
I did! I was pretty near total, like 92% or somethin, but it was cloudy. Was able to see it a bit, and the temperature drop/ sudden darkness made the evening insects start singing really loudly. It was neat!
That’s cute! I had a snake once when I was a kid 🐍
