update 5/22/18

hello everyone! i have decided to officially become inactive on this blog. teen top was such an important part of my life and i will always love and support them, but i feel like i have to move on. i will not be deleting this blog-  there are too many great memories of tt on here to erase it :’) but right now, i am busy with school and keeping up with my health. i do have a personal blog and twitter (very seldom do i keep up with tt- it’s mostly marvel/sebastian stan/personal things) but if anyone wants to follow me on my personal sns, send me a message and ill give you the links.

After seeing all the Teen Top fan meeting accounts and pictures, i’m feeling a little heartbroken for all the boys. They really poured their hearts out today with the letters they all wrote and they kept apologising and saying how thankful they are for the fans and it just makes me so sad and regretful for the situation they’re all in. To be honest, I didn’t really expect them to address the ljoe departure in such a candid and emotionally raw way; I thought they’d briefly mention it as an official group statement and kind of skirt around the issue..and I certainly didn’t expect Niel to actually shed tears. Niel. Niel. The guy that claims to not be capable of crying. Seeing the pictures just tore me up a little inside. It really just emphasised the feeling that Teen Top has suffered a loss and they are feeling hurt by it. And hearing that Chunji and Ricky were in tears as well…ahh…I ache. And you know, I could never be mad at anyone wanting to leave. Hell, I was expecting a couple of them to during contract renewal period. But hearing the members say that they tried to convince Ljoe to just do one more comeback before leaving had me feel a little divided. I couldn’t help but think “Couldn’t he have held on for just one more…” But I know that wouldn’t have been right. Self-sacrifice sounds noble and all on paper, but if being a part of something is negatively impacting your life and future, then you should be able to leave. You owe it to yourself to leave. It’s just the healthy thing to do. Both for Ljoe and Teen Top as a group. Though hearing Niel open up about contemplating whether it was okay to promote as 5 or whether they should break apart and hearing that he chose to stay because he would miss performing as a group and being among angels makes me really hope that this is what he really wants. I just want him to be happy. I want them all to be happy. In the end, I am glad that we got to see a more vulnerable side to them all. We got to see a side that we haven’t seen in a long time. I feel like fandom is just that little bit stronger because of it. So…yep. That’s it. Mind-dump complete.

Niel from the boy group Teen Top, shows off both boyish and manly charms in this photo shoot.

Niel recently showed off his charming innocence along with his sex appeal in the men’s magazine GQ Korea.

In one photo, Niel shows his playful side, wearing circular glasses with colored lenses and pouting with his trademark lips — in the other, he’s photographed in black and white; his shirt buttons undone, as he gazes off with a deep expression that’s surprisingly sexy.

The coexistence of innocence and sex appeal, of both boyish and manly charms, is Niel’s unique appeal. In his interview with GQ, Niel reveals his philosophy as an artist: “I did what I really wanted to during my solo activities; I just thought of myself as a rookie and didn’t worry about my spot on the charts.” He goes on to explain his aspirations as a solo artist, saying, “I really like hearing things like ‘Niel does that kind of music? Wow…’ I want to tackle a lot of different genres.”

After finishing up his solo activities, Niel will be preparing for a March comeback with his group Teen Top — but before that, he’ll be heading off to Japan this week to promote his solo album “LOVE AFFAIR…” through a series of fan events.
