2019 was one hell of a year.
So many of us experienced so much growth, discovery, hardship, and frustration.
It was rough, but I know we’re all better because of it.
This post is a little wrap-up of sorts – an overview of what I experienced in life and business, some of my favorite resources, and top posts that I encourage you to go take a look at.
Let’s get to it!

Altars in Witchcraft and Paganism
Altars in Witchcraft and Paganism
Altars can be seen throughout history and faith systems. An altar can be seen as many different things and used for many different purposes, today we’re going to explore how they can be used by witches and pagans.
What is an Altar?
In short, an altar is a sacred space dedicated to your practice.
Altars can be temporary or permanent, inside or outside, large or small spaces. The important thing…

The Elements in Witchcraft
The Elements in Witchcraft
Tumblr media
The elements are a part of many witchcraft and pagan practices. At first believed to be the base of all matter in existence, the classical/Western elements have become a representation of the different energies in our world.
Tapping into the energies of the elements can help us find both exploration and balance in our lives. We tend to have a dominant energy and tapping into the others can help…

a message from apollo.
healing isn’t always something big. sometimes it’s simply taking your medicine for the day, drinking a glass of water, sitting in the sunshine and fresh air for a few minutes or saying a few kind words to yourself.

Days of the Week Correspondences
Days of the Week Correspondences
Tumblr media
There are many things you can consider when planning to do spell work. Colors, candles, herbs, crystals and also days of the week!
Each day of the week is ruled by a planet which gives it a unique energy. You can tap into these energies when you want an extra boost to the energy of your spell. Along with the planets come elements, colors, deities, and more. By knowing the energy of the days of…

Intuition - What it is and how to listen
Intuition – What it is and how to listen
Intuition seems to be one of those things we’re just expected to know in the witchy world. You see it referenced everywhere with phrases like “do what feels right to you,” “follow your gut,” or “pick what you feel drawn to.”
But how do we do that? And what are we doing when we tap into those feelings?
This is our intuition, our guiding force that is here to lead us to our best lives!
I believe…

Spells and Rituals - What's the difference?
Spells and Rituals – What’s the difference?
If you’ve spent any time at all learning about witchcraft practices you’ve heard about spells and rituals.
I mean come on, in what world does casting a spell not sound bad ass?
The words spell and ritual get thrown around a lot, sometimes they are seemingly interchangeable. I realized recently I wasn’t completely clear on their differences but I knew there had to be some.
So here we are, let’s…

Probably a hot take but I think people who seek readings (tarot, pendulum, runes, and other) need to stop requesting readings that involves a third person.
I didn’t realize when I opened my inbox for free readings how many requests I would get for “how does X feel about me?” And at first I wasn’t entirely bothered. It was part way through one of my more recent readings, as I pulled a card, that I felt a lurch of guilt in my stomach. It may have skewed my intuition and messed up my reading, but I didn’t care. I suddenly realized how… Invasive it is.
We, as people, don’t have any right to what is going on in someone’s head and attempting to do so with whatever method is invasive. We only have a right to our own actions and decisions. And divination techniques should be for just that - a tool to help guide our decisions, to help understand ourselves and understand the outcome of our own actions.
Next time you ask for a reading, don’t ask “Does X love me romantically?” but rather, “is there any advice you can offer me for guiding my relationship with X down a romantic path?”
Don’t ask “Does C feel the same way about me?” But instead, “how can I improve my relationship with C so that we may have a foundation built on mutual feelings?”
Instead of “Does my partner, M, want to marry me?” ask, “if I proposed, what is the most likely outcome?”
Of course, I will never police someone else’s way of doing readings, and this is just my own feelings and speculation. But either way I think it is important to at least consider how invasive it is to the (non consenting) person you are trying to read. Please don’t ask someone to read another person’s feelings for you unless they’ve said they’re okay with it (and most I’ve seen aren’t.)
Respect everyone’s right to their own boundaries.

The 12 Universal Laws
The 12 Universal Laws
This is my first post after my seemingly forever long hiatus from this blog and I have so many juicy things to share with you, starting out with the 12 Universal Laws.
I’ve been spending a lot of time in the “non-magical” spiritual circles where everyone talks about manifestation, carries crystals, uses sage, meditates, performs rituals, reads tarot cards…
Witches. They’re all witches by my…

I’ve been taking a deep dive into the law of attraction lately and it has shifted my entire outlook on life. Parts of it are ideas I’ve always known to be true and it’s been really great to find that those ideas make sense to other people too. One of the biggest things I’ve always believed is that going with the flow is the best way to go through life. Things that are forced generally aren’t worth it. If you’re trying to force your way to a goal, chances are there is a more enjoyable path with far less resistance. I was listening to @jameswedmore earlier today and he explained the best analogy for this. Forcing your way to your goals is like being a fly trying to get outside by smashing into the window. We’ve all sat and watched as flies, bees, or other flying creatures do this. They see their goal, clear as day, all they want is to get outside. They don’t even see that there is a barrier in place that is holding them back. If they were to see things from our broader perspective, they would notice that the window is open. If they step back and reroute, the path to their goal would be incredibly easy. Sometimes we do this to ourselves. We have a clear goal and we can see it. We keep trying and trying to get there but it just isn’t working. And often it isn’t until we take a step back that we see exactly what is in our way. We will save ourselves a lot of stress and headaches if we stop crashing into the window and find the opening that the universe has already created for us to fly through 💜💫 • • • • #lawofattraction #pagan #witch #paganism #releaseresistance #gowiththeflow https://www.instagram.com/p/By8ujHmn4aV/?igshid=u6rg0envce24

I just. I don’t like this view of “millennials vs Gen Z”. This is NOT supposed to be a competition of who got fucked over the most and who’s “actually fighting back”.
Millennials are fighting back just by surviving in a job market where the minimum wage doesn’t cover the living cost. Millennials are awesome at “killing” the diamond, golfing and napkins industries. Millennials are using the internet to make sure things that corporations want to keep in the dark are exposed. They’re open LGBTQIA-friendly business, they’re supporting each other with online donations so everyone can survive this shitty economy.
And the Gen Z kids? The Gen Z kids are rad. I remember a post about something like the millennials making a collective promise to never become a disenchanted generation that only criticizes the next one and I want to point out that this “millennials vs gen z” trend is trying to do exactly that: split us apart. Prevent millennials from being the older siblings that teach the younger siblings to throw a good punch and turn them into the annoyed adult complaining about “those kids” on their lawn. We are the two groups that grew in a connected world of information. We are two very unique generations.
I think that it’s our duty for us millennials, as a disrespected, underpaid, very angry generation to stand up by our younger siblings, and fight together the oppressive systems that brought us all to this point.
