An average morning in the Jurdan bedroom:

Cardan: wow I had the WILDEST trauma dream last night.

Jude: the snake one again?

Cardan: no I was a little kid wandering the empty halls of the brugh calling out for my mother but I was all alone.

Jude: nice. In mine I was having tea with Madoc and I asked him for the sugar and he just straight up stabbed me. Also he was wearing Taryns earrings which was weird and then when I went to hit him I couldn't because we were in the Undersea.

Cardan: so random. Did I tell you about the one I had last week where it was basically a shot for shot remake of the coronation where my entire family was murdered but instead of being drunk under a table I was being beaten by one of Balekin's servants while Locke and Nicasia made out in front of me?

Jude: hahaha, so harsh. Sometimes I'll dream about someone breaking into my bedroom to murder me but he's like a mix up of Valerian, Balekin, and Locke and I can never find my knives.

Cardan, patting her hand: I know how much you hate it when you can't find your knives. Shall I order breakfast?

Me silently deleting the three paragraph post I had written about the new chapter of my long awaited fic taking a very different turn And how the previous chapter felt weaker but this was a concerning level of tone change and maybe the author was coming to their end of their obsession with the fandom and whether or not they were going to rap it up or just fade out and when I went back to the tab to see how many chapters were straight up masterpieces I finally realized I confused two different fics with very similar names but two different genres...

Mistakes Jude made that I think we should always and forever forgive but never forget

Brushing her hands off Wren as soon as she stripped Lady Nore of her power. Jude wasn't anything close to Wren's guardian so she is not responsible for her but the fact that she didn't think about doing anything after seeing a little girl around the same age as her brother having things sewn into her skin... And yeah, for all Jude could have known Wren could have had a personality rivaling Valerian so I don't blame her or anything. But she's also seen the crystal orb in Eldred's old rooms of baby Cardan who she considered dangerous at the time being a child who wanted love and attention and willing to do anything to get some. Her looking at a young Cardan or Oak and recognizing someone who deserves protection and then not seeing that in Wren was sad and sadder for us readers for not realizing sooner
