Surprise Yourself

I was on a trip upto the North of Luzon. Usually, I bring many clothes with me but in this recent trip I just brought a few. I don’t know what’s with my lazy vibes lately, I picked some clothes and packed them up. Mix and match, like I always tell you guys. You know, sometimes surprising yourself with something new isn’t bad at all.

The last destination of the trip was Vigan. The only cloth left for me to use was this dress which I bought from Forever21. And I only brought a pair of shoes with me from Sperry Topsider. I told myself I don’t care whatever I will look like, I’ll just enjoy the trip and still pose for nice photos. So there you go, I don’t think it’s bad tho, it turned up to be something cool instead. Yay! I will never regret buying the sperry because they go pretty well with everything, shorts, skirts, romper shorts and dresses.

Why do I look so young?*cry cry* I’m turning 26 this year guys, for real.

Anyway, so the lesson which I have learned from this trip is that, it never really depends on what you wear. It is all up to how you wear it, how comfortable you are, how confident you are, and how you enjoy the moment. :)

Let’s talk about colors

As we age, we get more interested in make-up and other beau stuff. Honestly, I was a late bloomer. I was living the “what you see is what you get” mantra and people always tell me that I look pale and etc. Before I really did not care about it because I was young and I didn’t know how to put make-up on. Another reason is that make-ups are usually pricey. They’re like one of girl\s precious investments.

I started coloring my face when I began working in Manila. Everyone is wearing their pink blushes and eye-catcher lipstick and then I was like maybe it is time for me to blend in.

I am not a make-up enthusiast but still I want to share with you wthe stuff which I possess with me rn.

1. The handy-dandy make-up pallete by Sephora

Sometimes, you feel like rewarding yourself after a month of work, so yeah, I bought this for myself few months ago. I seldom use this though because I don’t usually wear eye make-ups. But isn’t she a cutie? She has everything, from eyeshadows, eye liner, brows liner, bronzer, blush ons, lipsticks and lip gloss.

I abuse more of its lipsticks and lipgloss as you can see the disaster I made below.

2. Clinique’s BB cream

This is the only thing that I wear like daily, because it almost has everything that your face needs. I don’t have to apply powder or foundation all through out the day. And what I like the most about this brand is that it keeps your face moist while it doesn’t make your face oily.

3. Suprise Concealer by Etude House

Yes guys, I have eyebags now *cry cry*. I don’t know but after 24 years of existence bags started to build their castles under my eyes. And because of that I started to use concealers since last year. Who wants dark circles around their eyes ya. This concealer is pretty nice and blends perfectly.

4. Drawing Eyebrow by Etude House

I don’t usually draw my brows because I am lazy just like that. But when I do, I use this nicey pencil from Etude House, it has a nice pencil point that is different from the usual pencil liners.

5. Color My Brows by Etude House

So yeah, after drawing some lines on your brows, you have to fill in the brows itself. Honestly most of the time I just use this one. As I’ve said earlier, I don’t usually draw my brows, I just brush them off with this posh brow mascara for a natural brushed look. I was also using that one from Majolica Majorca but it’s a bit pricey than this one of Etude House.

6. Nacre’ Shimmer

If you’re lazy like me, you would just put some shimmer on your eyelids instead of overdoing it with lots of eyeshadows. For my lazy days (usually) I only use this shimmer to add some life to my very lonely tini-tiny eyes

7. HyperSharp Liner by Maybelline

Winged eye-liner they say. I so love this one whenever I want to have that nice and smooth winged-eyes. It is very manageable and user-friendly.

8. MAC False Lashes waterproof and Benefit They’re Real mascara

To bring some more life to my dull dull eyes, I use either of these mascaras. Both are nice to use, but MAC’s more userfriendly for me.

9. Givenchy Rose Dressing

Guys sorry but I don’t possess lots of lipsticks. I only stick to one and I prefer this one because it makes my lips look natural. It doesn’t overdo it, it is not pink like pink pink and not dark so yay. It is also smooth to use and lasts longer than other lipsticks.

10. Benetint by Benefit

And last but not the list, my favorite of all. I can go out of the house with nothing but BB cream and this one. Very user friendly and you can also have this little pocket rocket wherever you go. It is a cheek and lip tint that lasts long.

For everyday make-up to work, I only use BB Cream, color my brows, mascara and benetint. Hope you like it guys!

Tangerine

Hey there guys! How are you? It's been a very long time and tell you what, I missed blogging too much.

Anyway, here's an awkward picture of me taken few weeks back. It was my sister and her husband's anniversary and we decided to celebrate it in a 5 star hotel in Dubai.

Tadah! First timers will get amazed but actually the ambiance on the ground floor is quite similar to our Resort's World Manila.

So yeah, my family was on the mood to dress up semi-formally. It was Saturday and unluckily I needed to go to work for over time. At work I can't dress up like the way I used to before so yeah, expect the shirts,pants and sneaks. My shift ended at 4pm and I got home at 5pm and we needed to reach the hotel at 5pm since we are considering the travel time. So yeah, I just got out of the car, went up to our pad and changed clothes quickly and put a little bit face decoration and voila! I am ready in 5 minutes. Can you imagine how haggard I was?

(Awkward photo alert) I decided to wear the a tangerine dress and matched it perfectly with my 2-toned shoes. The cardigan was obligatory since it's very cold now here in Dubai.

My sister who was celebrating the day didn't waste the chance to take a photo with me *winkwink such a star (insert happiest face)

Meet my sister's sister in law and my sister's hubby and daughter and yeah she slept the night away. :D

Act Naturally

I had been hiatus for more than a month. Anyway, this was taken a month before I went out of the country. Yes guys, you read it right I am now living away from the Philippines. That was one of the reasons why it took a long time for me to post stuff here on my blog.

I guess by now you already knew where these photos were taken huh? Yup! I was in tagaytay with my family days before I left for Dubai. It was still a bit chilly in tagaytay that time so I was wearing sweater pants and sneaker wedges.

BTW, I was so in love with my glasses! It totes carried my outfit for the day. What do you think? I impulsively bought this in Forever21 when I was supposed to buy skirt. Meheh I felt that I should buy it because it was left alone with the usual glasses in their display area. I didn't want it to be lonely though.

Also, before I forgot, the shoes I was sporting here were given to me by my boyfriend. teehee

Peek a boo

I looked haggard because these photos were taken after the event. I was stressed of rummaging through clothes and shoes for keeps from the converse event.

Anyway, moving on to the outfit. I loved how this look can give you that fashionable vibe. The skirt is my most favorite skirt of all my skirts today. Also, tbh I looked professional in the office though my tummy was peeking. I just had to adjust the skirt and the top to hide my tummy for a while, as long as I was inside the office.

Turn it into wings and fly

I barely had the time to have a decent outfit photos. I was so preoccupied lately. Anyways, remember this top? I already wore it here and paired it with denim pencil skirt. And now I'm sporting it once again with my mid circle skirt from the wearhouseph.

The look will give you that conservative and old fashioned vibe. But hey, these clothes together made a comfy feeling. You know, first thing's first, you don't have to be fashionable but uncomfortable.

At first, I was afraid to wear the skirt because fyi, God didn't grant me that fabulous height. The good thing was, it went good along with my wedges.

Come On, Skinny Love

I love the song and I am skinny. Lol, irrelevant! Anyway, this was the outfit I wore last week when we went to SM Aura to buy some relief goods. Yes guys, we tried to helped too like you did I guess. But do not get me wrong, I wore a blazer too so I can hide my t-abs as I walked around the mall. Plus, exposed little skin will not hurt a lot.

Also, I loved this bodycon skirt because it made the lower part of my body curvy. I need it the most because you all know how skinny and thin I am. Plus it hid my navel. Meheh

You can look sporty, shh hate to say the word but~sexy, fashionable and comfortable in one outfit. Don't you just love my crop top details? I mean, hello boness!

She's in Aztec

I thought it was going to be a sunny day yesterday that was why I decided to wear my aztec dress to match the ambiance. I was wrong because when I got out of the house it was clearly raining. I was about to get sad but the good thing was I brought my Cardigan with me. Yay!

The circumstance really brought out the girl scout in me! It's never a hassle for me to bring cardigan wherever I go. I am always prepared because we don't know what the weather will offer for the next few hours, mostly when you are living here in the Philippines. So don't let the weather ruin the fash!

Also, we all know that aztec prints is in nowadays. What you can do to stand out is to pick the most appropriate one for you. Sometimes having too much print on your clothes is a no no for someone else's eyes. So try to keep it cool and simple as much as possible. It is not necessary to get overdressed at all times and please don't make a Christmas tree out of yourself. As I always say, less is more.

To get the simple yet chic look, I matched my Aztec green dress with my maroon flats so at least one of them stood out. Also I sported my forever21 ring and Anne Klein watch for some decorations.

23 Years of Existence

Yesterday was my 23rd Birthday! Yay! I'm growing old, yet happy so it's okay anyway.

I had celebrated my birthday on 29th for my highschool besties. They surprised me with a cake, ugh, they're the sweetest! My siblings also gave their gifts for me so I am very very thankful. My mother cooked food for us and was busy the whole day until the next to prepare some "baon" for me when I get back to work. She really is the best mom ever!

Meheh! I looked awkward. Anyway, yesterday boyfriend picked me up from home so we can go to church. I gave thanks to the Lord God in heaven for all the blessings He gave me for the passed years and I also asked Him for some guidance since I know that this new year is going to be really different from the past.

I am very thankful. I feel so blessed and loved. There are people whom I didn't expect to send me message or something but they did. I am happy. Thanks to God.

Ain't She Sweet

(Forever21 Dress and Ring)

People should know that sometimes less is more. I don't wear any other accessories today besides my ring and this huge tote bag from my mommah.

Pardon my face, it's windy and I can't control my stubborn bangs.

I love how simple and fabulous this dress is at the same time. It can be worn from day to night look with such a touch of elegance.

This dress can make you look and feel younger. One of the things I like with this is that it can be worn with different kinds of belt. Maybe you can pick one according to your mood. But for today I chose this beige one to match with my tote bag.

I want you to see these gorgeous lace details on my dress. Isn't it lovely?

This is the ring I was talking about. It is detailed and cute. It matches the vibe I want to come up with for today's outfit.

The title of this post is a title of one of the Beatles Songs. The lyrics go like this "Oh ain't she sweet, When you see her walking down the street..." It is a good song, try to search and hear it yourself. :)

Rainy Days and Mondays

(Pull and Bear Collared Top and Alexandre Skirt)

It was raining and I was about to get late for office so I didn't put on make ups and I didn't blow dry my hair. But then, I really need to take a shoot of my top because it is cutie patootie. I feel like I am a kid in this outfit.

This is what I am talking about. These round collars added attitude to the blue-striped top from Pullandbear. I love how it was mixed, I am so fascinated with round collars nowadays and maybe because it has the "lakas makabata" touch.

Pardon the obligatory bunny pose. My photographer/friend insisted to take a cutie patootie pose.

Also, I matched the top with my bodycon skirt from Alexandre.

So there, I came up with this look because it such a comfy and it suits the rainy day. Plus, it is cute which added life to a boring day like Monday and I know that you guys will agree with me.

Stripe A Pose

(SM Dept. Store Bonnet, Crissa Top, Topshop Pants, and Converse Sneakers)

Who says you can only wear stripes once? Then he/she maybe doesn't have the guts to break the rule.

I got tired of being a girly girl for a long time and decided to wear something of my old self. I don't know but when I woke up yesterday, I thought I'd prepare for a rugged-kind of day. I was lucky because I was on the mood at the right time considering that Friday is the "washday" in the office.

Actually, I missed this kind of get up. Because this is my "almost" daily look when I was in college. The idea of being quite allergic to doll shoes, wedges, sandals and dresses flashes back.

Anyway, I just love how it all turned out. I got the Corduroy Pants from my sister and I am amused that it matches this striped shirt that was hanging on to my closet for such a long time. Plus, this bonnet I bought at SM a month ago added an attitude to the look. I think I really got the rugged look this time. What do you think?

Baby's in Black

(Parco Dress, Russ Shoes, Gucci Wallet)

It's a gloomy day so I decided to wear something that relates to the weather. I bought this floral black dress last year at a newly open thrift shop near our place. I haven't told you guys that I am also fond of invading thrift shops because you can find fashion treasures there for real. And since I remember, it's been almost a year since I visited one.

Meheh, happy kid. Just a trivia, it was actually raining when we took this photo and we're like "So what, we don't care at least there are only few people at this place because of the rain." It's indeed a blessing in disguise.

The wallet I'm holding is a gift from my sister. It's so light and easy to use.

Mixing and matching clothes is sometimes hard mostly because I am skinny and I have to prioritize the fact that I am also going to the office. The dress I'm wearing is cut into straight, so I needed to put on a belt to add some shape and to shock my office mates not I put on a polo blazer.

In dressing up, you have to know HOW is the weather, WHAT to wear, WHEN is the right time to take a shot and WHERE is the best place to shoot. See, it's never easy. Plus, it's hard to make a pose. See how I look at the last picture. Funny yes.
