I'd say I do see the status of a person, but that isn't exactly my main focus. if a person is outcasted, I might still pursue them if I like them. it would be more enjoyable if the person has a higher social standing, but I will still be interested in forming a connection with them and if they spark me enough I'd prioritise them.
"Do you enjoy the rush that you get when you actually click with a person?"
This is one of my main goals of seeking friendships and relationships. if there isn't a rush, I feel like something is missing and if there isn't anything that makes me stay, I'll leave the friendship/relationship. I prioritise connections that give me a rush, mentally, emotionally or physically and call them my best friend or potential partner.
"As soon as you click, do you have this need to know everything about them ?"
Yes. I tend to share about myself more if I'm interested in someone, and I want to know all about them. it's like bearing my true self with the person and vice versa. this is also one of the main goals of making connections for me, feeling comfortable enough to share everything with the other. I'm almost always digging for something more to learn about the person.
'Do you struggle prioritizing positions, connections, and interests when you get hooked on to someone?'
I tend to prioritise the person I'm hooked onto. other connections I might give little attention to after I find a person to hook on to. in fact, I also tend to always be hooked onto something if I can't find a person to hook on to, draining the life out of it. that's how I operate.
Hmm...now that you've talked about yourself a bit more, I do see some hints of sx.
But since I don't know you personally, or haven't seen you interact with the world, I don't think my typing would be accurate.
But here are a few more things that might help:
See what your connections are based on. I have friends who on first glace might come off as sx-users, however their primary method of connection is through compatibility, and interests, which makes them so-users an sx-blind. They enjoy finding people who prefers being a part of a group that they are interested in. A lot of them would rather play the social game of 'getting to know' than destroy the concept of boundaries when they are talking to someone.
What makes you paranoid ? Does it bother you when your partner is careless about finances, security, safety (Note, this would look different based on your enneagram type, but the fundamentals are usually the same)? Does it bother you when you can't connect with your partner through similar interests? Does it bother you when you can't introduce them to your friend group? This might be superficial, but while finding a partner, is them following the dating culture a very important aspect to you? Or, is it important that your partner matches your energy level, which is extremely intense, and self-consuming(as absurd as it sounds, that's exactly what it feels like to have sx)? Do you find yourself annoyed when the said person isn't bound to you, or if you can't be bound to them? Would you immediately reject someone, or be extremely upset if your partner or anyone you are interested in gets overwhelmed by your energy, or sometimes calls it unhealthy because, it's weird to feel that way?
Feel free to ask more questions. I'll try my best to answer them.

Enneagram 3
Tumblr media
Need: To be the best in whatever they do. And make it a huge part of their personality.
Belongs to: The assertive heart triad, who's brilliant, societal-conscious, and capable of playing a story that everyone around them would like.
Threes are great personality types to be around. They are motivated, extremely productive and conscious about the environment they live in. And the work they do is IMMACULATE. They want to be that person people who talk about. They love the spotlight, and understand the obstacles one must face to maintain it.
But underneath this vanity, is a super insecure child. Threes are taught that love is conditional; it can only be earned if you have what the world desires. This is completely different from 2s, as they tend to "give" to get love.
Which is why 3s work hard at their desired game - be it finances, beauty, or politics - the three would always try to have a upper hand. Because looking good, and being something everyone will love is more important than self. Unhealthy 3s have the tendency to look down on those who aren't particularly ambitious, create positions to make themselves look good, and put people down to make them look worse.
3s, along with 6s and 9s are completely detached from their self. They struggle to introspect and reflect on their actions, due to suppressing their intelligent centers.
Wings:
3w2: The more prideful 3s. They try to meet the expectations that people have set for them, and expect people to applaud them for their success. They care about being seen and loved, more than being the best. A lot of them do tend of have pick me energies.
3w4: The envious 3. They want to be seen as the best. They care less about being wanted because their vanity lies more in their success. They are also the type to have one specific area that they'd want to succeed in, and will be anything to be good at that.
Subtypes:
Sp: The type that wants to be good at things, for the fear that they'd lose things around them. Now, this would make them sound a lot like 6s or 1s, however their vanity over their successes is evident, no matter how much they try to hide it. Another interesting quality of this subtype is that they tend to have vanity in no vanity. Which means they'd like to downplay their successes a lot of times, just to fit in with the "successful bunch" or with people in general.
eg: Miyuki Shirogane
He takes pride in being the school president. In fact, for someone who comes from a low-income background, the distinction of being the school president acts as a protective blanket against Kaguya, and the rest of the school. He became the school president in the hopes to get noticed by the people he wants the attention from (Kaguya, his mother). The status of being the best is school is a safety blanket, and nothing more.
Sx: They don't tend to talk a lot of themselves. This type wants to earn love and appreciation by making the person bonded to them successful. Their entire personality becomes about their prized possession succeeding, since they assume that their "success" is its own.
eg: Ai Hoshino
Ai's need to find a love where she would be accepted is the motivating factor behind her being successful. She begins by thinking that this would be attained through her career as an idol. Someone's dissatisfied with her performance ? Not a problem. She works on it and perfects it. So much to the point that she starts to believe that her fan's love for her is what she has always wanted.
But then, she ends up having the twins. Which completely changed the way she viewed love. Ai started pouring her everything into her kids, albeit having a successful career as an idol, and a new career in the field of acting. And finally, towards the end of her life, we get to see the satisfaction. The happiness and the pride she received by devoting a part of her life for her children. How eventually their success sounded even more beautiful to her. Her entire life revolved around making others feel like they made her a success story.
So: Your typical 3. They want to be seen as successful. To them, a lot times, the fame that comes from success is more important than the success itself. They firmly believe that being seen as successful by others makes them a success. That they're finally worth of the applause, and love they receive from the rest of the world.
Eg: Oikawa Tooru
His entire self-image is around his ability to play volleyball. He felt great about his skill, and truly thought he was amazing...till Kageyama showed him the difference between talent and hardwork. Despite working his hardest, and doing his best...Oikawa just couldn't accept that there was someone better than him.
He considered it to be an insult to win matches by going to Shiratorizawa, because he would be shadowed by Ushikawa. You can see how image oriented he is throughout his interactions with Kageyama and Ushijima.

Hey, it's the probably entp+ennea 1 dude again. I really liked reading your answer last time, thanks for that ♡
Kinda think I'm a 2 actually, with maybe a 1 wing. 6s are amazing, and I can only wish I was one.
Umm...if you certain that you are a 2, then you might want to consider another mbti type. entps are a head type, who don't prioritize their emotions as much as a 2 would.

If you are familiar with his character, would you mind giving your opinion on Mirio Togata's MBTI from My Hero Academia? I've seen people type him as ENFJ, but I lean more towards ESFJ. He seems to use Si with his quirk, using experience to "predict" his opponents movements. I wonder if that's why some people type him as ENFJ because of the relation of Ni and predictions. But he uses past experience to predict, so wouldn't that be Si? Also, in the scene with leaving Eri behind, he seems to be more about following the rules and protocol rather than gut instinct like Deku. Mirio also seems to have a Ne sense of humor, making random jokes with odd connections. What do you think? Thank you for your time!
I do agree with you! However, I can't be certain because I stopped watching MHA quite a while back, mainly cause I lost interest.

Enneagram 6
Tumblr media
Need: To find security, and support.
Belongs to:  Head triad. The compliant head triad that searches, creates, or works with a support system that would help them survive.
Sixes are extremely misunderstood . Mainly because the coping mechanisms are so different for each of the subtype. In addition, because people tend to type based on a given list of features explained in books, and in other sites, a lot of 6s are always mistyped.
6s want security. They want a dependable source that'd provide them with the necessary resource when they fail to come up with a solution. They have to tendency to be over-prepared compared to 7s because they prefer knowing what they have to deal with, rather than escaping from it. They are more realistic than a 5 would ever be, because they understand that not all problems can be solved by themselves, and withdrawing and theorizing about the problem doesn't make it go away.
One interesting thing about 6s is that they are not exactly loyal in the way you assume them to be. The main object of a 6 in any situation is to make sure that they have security. Anything that provides them security, is a dependable source to rely on. So therefore, 6s are loyal to anything that can support them. This can be their ideals, religion, particular person, or a community. And they won't question it's choices. Until they start feeling unsafe in it. And once they do, the 6 wouldn't hesitate to walk away from it.
The reason why 6s are so hell-bent on attaining a support system is because of the lack of trust in themselves, and in their external environment. Somewhere in their life, 6s were made aware that they can't rely on themselves. So they tried to rely on an external environment and also realized that...it isn't really safe. So now, they just keep switching back and forth, trying to figure out the safest, and the best option for them in that particular moment.
Wings
6w5: A 6 with serious trust issues. They would much rather come up with a self-support system than seek for it externally. w5's fear of being incompetent can also make this 6 extremely learned, resource-focused, and more of a survivalist. They can be very anti-social, fearing that they might trust the wrong person, and ruin their security.
6w7: A 6 with anxiety-issues. They have a lot of trouble trusting themselves, and their thoughts regarding a particular situation. Is more prone to "if everyone is doing it, I don't see why I can't". Doesn't have trouble sticking to groups, and moving on from them once the security is no longer being met. More friendly than w5s.
Subtypes:
Sp: 6 that understands that gaining resources provides them security. They go about with it by avoiding unnecessary trouble, which can make them come off as being warm, friendly, and nice. I think the primary reason for this is that these 6 also fear that they don't really have the physical or mental resources to stand up for themselves, so they would much rather avoid a situation that would put them in that position, than directly engaging. They are also more likely to stick to a particular person, or an ideal that would help them attain their resources in the safest way. eg: Ussop, Chopper, Armin Arlert.
So: This subtype would more likely focus on creating an environment or a community where everyone together could guarantee each other's security. This makes them look like So 1, however the primary driving force behind this action is the need for security and protecting, and not anger. Furthermore, So 6 would do everything in their power to protect this environment, since they depend on its existence. Eg: Suguru Geto, Floch Foster
Sx: This is an interesting one. This subtype makes 6 to move towards the problem and solve it, contrary to how 6s should work. The reason behind this is that, despite the fear, the intensity and the need to merge with security is far exceeding. So, they end up having this mindset where they think being the more aggressive or powerful one would reduce the impact of the problem. They tackle problems head on, come off as aggressive to the point that you might consider them being 8s. However, deep down they are scared that they're lack of aggression would let others take advantage of them. Furthermore, once they realize that they are no longer in danger, they lose the aggression and pretty much go back into being like the other two subtypes. eg: Eren Jeager, Kyo Sohma.
Common Mistypes: Pretty much all types.

How to type yourself- MBTI version
This sounded so good when I was busy helping someone with their ask. I hope it is as useful as I think it is!
Tumblr media
Here are some very basic questions that can get you started:
How do you think you perceive the world around you?
a. Do you directly take in what's there in your surrounding using your five senses, without thinking much about what it could be (Present-> Information)?
b. Do you relate the things in your immediate surrounding to the experiences you've previously encountered(Present -> Past relation -> Information)?
c. Do you find immediate connections in your external environment, by observing things around you? You are more interested in the possibility presented through the information, rather than the information itself. (Present Possibility -> Information)
d. Do you come up with your own predictions or interpretations of the environment you'll happen to be in, by unconsciously observing your immediate surroundings? (Present -> Future Possibility -> Information)

How do you come to conclusions about a situation?
a. With the help of an internal framework, or logic that a lot of people have trouble understanding. This might not necessarily match the societal way of thinking, can seem long-winded and useless, but it has been pretty accurate deducing the situation. (Information -> My logic -> Conclusion)
b. With the help of an external logical framework pre-existing in our environment. You extensively make use of the rules, and frameworks put forth by the society to get what you want, and come to conclusions. Your decisions may focus more on its application and immediate benefit, rather than the theory, or the logic behind it. (Information -> Pre-existing logic to get what I want -> Conclusion)
c. With the help of an internal moral system. What matters to you the most is how you feel about the situation. Does it make you happy? Do you feel guilty making a choice, even if everyone around you seems to be okay with it? Have people called you selfish, because you chose to prioritize your feelings over the groups, while making a decision? (Information -> My feelings on this -> Conclusion)
d. With the help of an external moral system. If a group feels something about it, you are more likely to agree to that feeling. Your feelings are based on how a large group of people feel about it. At the same time, you won't agree to a decision, if you realize that it would negatively affect a lot of people. (Information -> Externalizing my feelings to see what others feel -> Conclusion)

Which of the following do you agree with?
a. The rules, and regulations put up by the society. You don't understand why everything around you must be done cause of a certain logical framework. Sometimes you feel like these rules never take your feelings into consideration. It is hard for you to accept this logic, because of how black & white it could be. You tend to think this external framework inhibits people from doing what they want, and only prefers those that do more "meaningful" or more productive things.
b. Somehow, people always think you are rude. You try to help them by providing a logical analysis of what is wrong with a situation, but they don't want that. They seem to want you to agree with the entire group's opinion about a situation, which you think is stupid. People tend to exhaust you, because you struggle to understand the use of emotions to navigate society. You do wish your decisions are accepted by the society, despite the lack of emotions in it.
c. You have a hard time getting out of your mind. You fear that engaging with your immediate surrounding might introduce a lot more information, that might disrupt the perception you have about your environment. You don't understand people who can just indulge in the moment. Everything for you needs to be well thought out, since you believe that you can't act unless you have a clear view of a future in your head. You tend to speak and think more figuratively, making it difficult for others to understand you, leaving you behind in the process.
d. You struggle with repetition. You don't like it when people constrict you and force you to only think in a particular way. You don't understand why they choose to only stick to that one past experience, when you know for a fact that there are tons of different possibilities. You don't take time to reflect on your past experiences, which means you might end up making the same error more than once. You find it annoying when people choose not to do something, or explore an idea because of some weird past experience that they've had.
e. You don't like it when you are forced to think of other possibilities. Why should you, when you know for a fact that this has always worked? You are open to trying new things, only if you have had an experience with something similar before. Possibilities don't guarantee success, so you would rather pick something that you know would work, than engage in a possibility. People have called you rigid for that.
f. You don't understand planning. It's not that you can't plan, it's just that every information that one needs, is always in front of them. You don't like to contemplate or sit in your head that much, since you don't understand how that'd help you decide on what you want. Furthermore, a lot could change, so what is the point in coming up with a clear focus on the future, if nothing is constant?
g. You tend to have an inner turmoil at times. You know you always make decisions based on how productive or useful they are, but you just wish you did them based on how you feel. You really hope people wouldn't undermine you on making a decision based on your inner morals. You wish people understood that despite your productive, and more applicable decisions, you aren't a monster that doesn't have or value emotions.
h. Just because you agree on a common consensus, doesn't mean you are illogical or stupid. You think it's high time people noticed that the social connections, agreeing and accepting an external framework, all comes from an internal logic. Just because this internal logic doesn't seem "logical", it doesn't mean you don't think. Prioritizing a group's feeling, making sure that they agree with your decision, and sometimes agreeing based on what others think and feel is a logic of it's own. There is a reason why everyone feels the same way about a situation.

is it possible to be sx-dom and not always act on what you desire? for example, I think this is due to logic, but I try not to get hurt and so when I meet someone, I go by their demeanour, behaviour and attitude towards others and myself to see if I might get hurt/played by them. this means I don't pursue them if I think they are a player. does this mean I use sp more since I'm protecting myself? or is this just logic? I don't think anyone wants to get played. but as long as the person doesn't hurt me, them hurting someone else is fine. I also don't like people who come off too strong too fast. I might feel intense emotions towards someone but I prefer acting socially appropriate. despite all this, my ultimate goal is to find someone I have chemistry with who I find attractive and who finds me attractive and this takes up most of my thoughts and this person would likely be at the top of my priorities. so you can perhaps sense my confusion?
Everyone feels chemistry and attraction. That's universal. Your need to act on it defines your sx usage.
I think it is safe to assume that you aren't a so blind user, purely because of your partner selection - you value their interaction with the people around them. You see how they fit into a certain social position (this need not be social or financial standing) and come to conclusion. I can assure you that almost all So-blind users I know don't think this much. Sure, they have basic morals, but they are far less concerned about how anything around them affects a certain group of people, or meets a certain social standard. It's embarrassing how the lack of So makes them so self-preoccupied with their own materialistic needs, and their current passion.
I also don't like people who come off too strong too fast. I might feel intense emotions towards someone but I prefer acting socially appropriate.
Sx, especially sx doms don't understand the definition of 'too strong'. If something catches their interest, they'll drain all their blood, purify it, and then sell it to the demon that has captivated them. They struggle with starting slow. They have to know everything about their object of interest. And they would do anything to attain it. Sx doms can sometimes even overwhelm secondary sx users. Which is why a lot of sx doms struggle in social situations where the need for connection, bonding, commonness is prioritized over merging, soul-sucking desire.
Based on everything you have explained, I think you might be sx-blind. But, if you still aren't sure: Do you enjoy the rush that you get when you actually click with a person? As soon as you click, do you have this need to know everything about them ? When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING - them, their darkest secrets, the way they move, their entire existence. Do you struggle prioritizing positions, connections, and interests when you get hooked on to someone?

Hello! where do you find sources to study personality typology systems? I want to learn it too :>
Hello, I'm glad you asked!
I don't really have solid sources for a lot of things that I ended up learning, mainly because my understanding of typology is subjective, and deductive.
I started with 16personalities.com, and then started reading about cognitive functions. There are a lot of great tumblr authors and reddit users who have an amazing understanding of it, and I think reading and going through those really consolidated my opinion on types.
The most important thing one must understand is that: since we're technically working with a form of pseudo-science (yes, as much as we'd like to think this is valid, mbti and enneagram are pseudo-sciences that are invented by people purely through noting down common behaviors and segregating people based on those basic classifications, without any practical experimentations proving that this is the truth.), there would be a lot of variations in the way people view a type. I think this was something I had a lot of issues with, since every so-called expert in this field had their own interpretation of each types (this is very noticeable with enneagram). I had to narrow down on some of the common/basic features of each type, and then dumb it down for me to understand.
And a lot of it is observing people. Although there are a lot of differences in the a way people with the same type behave, the way they come to conclusions, take in information, and engage with their world is eerily similar.
So my advice would be:
16personalities - a pathetic, but great start towards typology. A lot of it is crap, since they just put 4 letters, describe your behavior with those 4 letters, and call it the end. I think this is important, because it introduces you to the rabbit hole, gives you an idea of what typology would look like if you just looked at a person's behavior.
Once you understand I , E , N , S blah blah from 1., get into cognitive functions. Some really good (infact amazing) resources for the same are:
Funky Mbti in Fiction: https://funkymbtifiction.tumblr.com/
Mbti Notes : https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/
Personality Cafe
Reddit mbti subreddit.
Tumblr search
You can search up Books on mbti cognitive functions as well. I didn't since my ADHD brain would die if I'd have to read so much theory that makes you feel like you are a part of a cult.
Note: You have to formulate your own understanding on what is right, and what isn't, since a lot of the information, as previously mentioned, are subjective understanding of the user. Reading through all their posts, their type deduction method, and finding a relation irl was the most helpful way for me to understand cognitive functions.
3. OBSERVE. TYPE. FAIL. I cannot stress how important this is. If you want, you can start by typing everyone by the 4 letters seen in 16personalities. You'll develop a superiority complex, that'll quickly fade once you get into cognitive functions. Compare and see how different your 4 letter typing is from cognitive function typing. Regret your ideas, and concepts. Repeat it.
After a significant amount observation and failed typings, you'll start to notice a pattern in how every cognitive function would look like irl.
For example: anyone with a dominant Ne (ENFP, ENTP) will play around with ideas. They breathe ideas.
Fi users will not budge from their internal morals (which can be extremely irrational)
Fe users will never give up on the collective emotions of the group.
etc etc.
TYPE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS. I personally find this to be a lot easier than real life characters, since fictional characters are very 2 dimensional in the way they think.
You might get stumped in this process. Very natural. How the hell are you supposed to be sure when you type someone. You might even hate yourself and might end up giving up. It's okay. Just go back to step 2, review everything and then start typing again.
4. Ask questions. As someone who's scared to ask questions, I love reading the stupid, yet relatable reddit questions. Helps you understand and correct your typing technique and method (there's no way you're going to be a genius and type people immediately by the cognitive functions they use. You'll be surprised by how many experts accidentally end up typing by behavior.)
5. After you're confident about yourself, and your typing technique, it's time to hate! Open up personality database, and start searching up your characters. Open up the comments. Look through them. Read through them to see supporting statements or insights on whether the character is right or not. If you like arguing with people on the net, that is a great place to do. You can also inflate your ego, looking at people mess up typing because they start bringing unreasonable relations which don't even make sense.
Oh, oh did I forget tumblr, reddit, and other site users? It's time to hate on us as well.
6. Once you've completely exhausted a typing technique, move on to the next one. Start seeing the variations, try to understand how this typing technique is different from the previous one. Shit on it if you think it is unreliable. Steps 1-5 would remain the same for every typing technique.
I just realized I rambled. So much.
Quick Tips:
Bother your friends to discuss this with them. Playing around with ideas, someone openly questioning me helped me a lot. Some might shoo you away. But some would definitely be interested.
Google Search whatever you want to know by adding the typology that you are trying to study. eg: "cognitive functions mbti", "Why are enneagram sx5s so annoying reddit"
Have fun. This is a very tedious process. And not for everyone. So take breaks if you think it's too much. Don't pressure yourself to understand everything. Sometimes it clicks. sometimes it doesn't.
Typing human beings is hard. You'll soon realize how unaware almost everyone is. People will say they are INFP when it's very clear that they are ISTJ. You'll also realize how unaware you are, when you start typing yourself.
Any form of trauma would change the way a person uses their functions. Which is why it is very very important to not type people by their behavior.
People will hate you for boxing them. No one likes to be told that they're an enneagram 5, who has trouble opening up, or sharing any form of resource with another person because they haven't had their needs met as a child, and were forced to come to a conclusion that people outside would never meet them, and hence it is useless to depend on them, and it is better to find a way out by yourself.
If you ever get too deep into this, step out of it, and view humans as humans.
Create a blog. Make posts. If you think your posts where absolutely wrong, update them, change them, and rework on your knowledge. I started this blog as a diary for whatever I've learnt. Or have an actual book to write things down >< .

Sx would always prioritize the need to merge over the need for a community.
The best example of this is Naruto (so/sx) and Hinata(sx/so). Naruto was always, always concerned with fitting into the leaf village, so much to the point that he was willing to be the hokage to get accepted into the community. Despite his need to merge, understand, and have Sasuke around him, Naruto always put the village first.
On the other hand, being an Sx dom, Hinata was okay with just having Naruto's friendship, attention, and is willing to take his ideals as her own. The thought of being mocked by her peers, or being an outcast doesn't really affect her as much as not being able to merge or accept Naruto. It is very evident that she would do anything (including putting herself in danger) to merge, and accept with Naruto's ideals.
It all comes down to one thing - what bothers you the most? Not having your social instinct satisfied, or your sexual instinct? Since your dominant instinct is like the air you breathe, an immediate disconnection from it would make you feel extremely uneasy.

Instinctual Variant -4
Social Instinct:
Social Instinct is all about connections. The need to establish a social group and be a part of one where people have similar interests.
Some really common attributes found within people who have the So instinct include:
The need for social acceptance. Don't mistake this for neediness, it's just that they understand the value of community a lot better than so-blinds.
Connecting with people through ideas, thoughts. This also includes one-one connections. A lot of times, people mistake the need for connection to be an Sx thing, especially when it is one-one. However, the Sx energy is purely attraction. Sx-users crave for a certain "high" that Sx-blinds, or predominant So-users can put aside. So-users connect with people through similarities, unlike So-blinds or Sx users, who don't usually care much about them.
Merging with cultures. A So-user is more likely to merge with the culture that they are surrounded by.
Having a hard time accepting oddballs. As much as this sounds wrong, a lot of so-users do have trouble accepting oddballs. Since their brains are conditioned to accept commonness, and create an environment where they could be with people who have similar interests, it is kind of difficult for them to accept those who don't believe in the same. (But that doesn't mean they are evil)
Understanding social constructs. They are aware that social niceness is a key requirement for a functional society. (Basically, more aware of their surrounding, and their community to make sure that they continue to fit in)
Most people are So-users. Which makes sense, since we live in a world where society, and community is given higher importance.
So/Sp users generally tend to have a more "politician" vibe to them, since they have learnt how to play with their community to satisfy their physical/materialistic needs. Sp being in the auxiliary position here also means that they are going to be concerned a bit more about their materialistic needs to fit within the social circle they're a part of. This means that they are more likely to:
Be more concerned about how much money they have, how they look, what they eat. Especially if it means being in a better social circle.
Bond with people based on their materialistic or financial desires and requirements.
Enforce ideas within their community to make it easy for them to attain their sp requirements.
Are more likely to abide to social rules than So/Sx users, since they lack the need, or aren't really aware of their need or desire to merge, or get fixated on the Sx energy.
They also tend to be a bit more traditional in their way of thinking, and would stick to rules, and ideas that have always worked.
So/Sx user, on the other hand tend to have the "wild neighbor with crazy amount of friends" vibe to them. Thanks to their Sx, they seem to have their own flair. However, they'd use this Sx to merge with people within their So community. This means that they're a lot less reckless than Sx/So users when it comes to pursuing the Sx energy. If a So/Sx user realizes that the Sx they choose to pursue would hurt their position within the circle they are a part of, they would immediately stop. Some other things that I've noticed is that:
Very poor sp. A So/Sx acquaintance of mine choose to party till 3am in the middle of the week with their boss to become his "best friend" and get into the inner circle. An So/Sp would never take this crazy approach, because they value their sp needs.
Their ability to make everyone fit into a community. So/Sx users, for some amazing reason love it when they can fit everyone into the community they are a part of. I think it is the perfect combination of being able to match the Sx energy and communicate and uphold So ideas.
Tend to come off as flaky. I guess this is once again because of their need to merge, and socially connect with everyone around them. And since Sx isn't really their priority, it's like partially digging the ground for gold and then finding a shiny object two feet away.
Struggle with taking care of their physical needs. Like every sp-blind person, they really think they can party till 5am and then get to work at 8, without having anything to eat.

Instinctual Variants-3
Sexual Instinct:
Sx instinct is purely attraction and energy. It’s the absolute desire to merge with something you love, purely because it lights up something inside you, that would get you weak.
One reason why people started developing this instinct would be to reproduce - it kinda makes sense that you would go looking for the ‘right’ person to procreate. However, with the introduction of society, which became a safety net for people, Sx instinct became something more energy, intensity related than a reproductive necessity ( So and Sp started playing better roles, since we technically live in a society which is more focused on these instinct.)
People who aren’t Sx-blind tend to:
Be extremely concerned about how well they attract people. Note this is more about appeal, the intensity, and less about having similarities, connections, social status and security.
Have crazy tendencies to throw everything away just to experience the intensity. (Yes, even sx/sp’s do it)
Have clear differences in the way they treat people. This is extremely interesting because, that’s just how attraction works to these people.
Can instantly tell if they like someone, despite not spending enough time with them. There is no “they might be useful at some point” or “they aren’t bad enough to hang around with” situations with Sx doms, and a lot of Sx-aux.
Since they purely pursue things based on their intensity, they are also more likely to neglect red flags, which might be so obvious to sx-blinds.
It’s a pain to be Sx. You have no choice, but to make that decision because you would just torture yourself if you didn’t. They wouldn’t think twice about spending $50000 on a concert, if they were going to their favorite artist. And by favorite, I don’t mean “oooo yaay I like them!” favorite. It’s more “OH MY GODS I AM GOING TO SEE THIS PERSON WHO HAS ABSOLUTELY BROUGHT MY INNER SOUL OUT”. The indescribable feeling of awe and amazement when they see this person, who made a huge influence in the way they live. Not to say that sx-blinds don’t experience that kind of sensation. But they’re less inclined/more cautious when they sense something like this, and would prioritize other factors such as stability, and societal position before giving in.
Sx/Sps are more likely to focus on merging without giving up on their self-preservation. Think of it as a pressure cooker - everything seems bearable till the pressure/intensity is too much. A few things that I have noticed in these people:
Their blatant disdain for things that doesn’t excite them. Although you would see them try to connect with people in groups, as soon as they find ‘the one’, they’ll completely disregard the rest.
This is something that I’ve noticed, especially with sx/sps: They are sp till they find something to fixate on. They would have all the sp/sx characteristics like doing things by themselves, neglecting the society, fine being by themselves and being alone...till they find something to merge with. And once they merge...dear god.
Speaking of merging, sx/sps tend to be vampirical with their object of desire. They don’t care about anything else. They just want their dream object to love them as much as they do.
Has niche interests that they worship, but wouldn’t eagerly display those to others as a form on connection like an sx/so would.
Cannot. Deal. With. People. But at the same time their neglect for social orders and structures brings a lot of sx-blinds towards them. The latter are surprised and amazed to see someone who puts on a full display of their passion without having social masks that would help them fit.
They remind me of coal - looks dull, boring, dark. But once you touch them or manage to find those red streaks seeping through, you know how hot it is, and the intensity and life they hold inside them.
Sx/Sos are the gods and goddesses. They know how to convince people and connections of their passion, and would create the best story/dance which would bring all of them together.
As they are more socially conscious than the so-blind counterpart, they know how to play the social game, and convince people. My passion is our passion.
Since they are sp-blind, they would hardly pay attention to their health. Unlike sx/sp, these people actually have the greatest potential of joining a hippie group in the middle of the woods without a backup plan.
This also means that their merging is unrestrained. This can be very self-sabotaging in relationship because of their lack of self-preservation, which would make them completely merge with their partners desires (ofc, differs wrt to each enneagram, but the characteristics would remain the same.)
Unlike Sx/Sps who put on a very Sp-persona till they meet their sx-person, Sx/Sos are completely Sx driven, with their So showing up as the npc who gives you random nickels.
They are the literal definition of fire - powerful, bright, intensity always on display, but self-consuming (even faster than coal), dangerous and destructive if untamed.
