Tips for trans guys that i dont see as often (slight NSFW warning)
Briefs can hold pads so you don’t have to wear dysphoria inducing underwear when you’re ‘on the rag’
If you’re on T, try to ration it every once in a while so that you have extra in case you’re in a situation where you can’t get your prescription (i.e., cant afford it, change of laws, etc.)
Wear doc martins if you’re dysphoric about height, and try to remember that height isn’t essential to passing or being ‘manly’
Do not use 3 in one, as it’s not very good for hygiene. Find some men’s shampoo and a conditioner that doesn’t make you feel dysphoric. In addition, you only really need to shampoo about 2-3 times per week, unless your hair gets really dirty really often. Shampooing too often will damage your hair.
If you’re off t and want to pass a little better, try shaving your peach fuzz. cis guys shed peach fuzz during puberty, and shaving it will give a more masculine impression. (plus, the act of shaving your face can give you euphoria)
If you have bottom growth, be sure to check for smegma buy pulling back on the ‘hood’ covering your growth up. Smegma is a white substance that will grow underneath, and it can lead to odor at best and infection at worst.
If you’re starting T soon and have never dealt with sweat stains, get ready to deal with sweat stains. Try to find a good anti perspirant, and try not to layer up too much during really hot days
While your on T your body might change to the point where you will need to size up your binder. Before t i fit in a small binder just fine, but after about a 1/2 year on t i found that they felt more uncomfortable on me, and that I now fit better in a medium (also remember - tighter =/= flatter!)
Even if you’re pre top surgery, hair will still grow on your chest. no real advice here, I just thought you ought to know.

Disney Sucks with queer rep and will likely not get much better: a spur of the moment mini-essay
SO i was on snapchat today and one of my friends was ranting about the lack of queer rep in the new Loki show. First off, to be mad about that is perfectly valid and encouraged by me, because almost every big movie or franchise corp. needs to be better about this ofc, but the fact that my friend is just now starting to get mad about the lack of lgbt rep is kind of weird because disney has been doing this shit for years now. There’s a reason that the ‘100 first gay disney characters’ meme exists, after all. If i had the balls to do it, I would just ask this friend, Do you know why this is happening? Do you know why you’re constantly pulled into the promise of gay relationships and implications only to have a rug pulled under you by the big mouse?
Because you keep. watching. it.
From the Deadpool movie gloating about Deadpool being pansexual only for the movies to have a heterosexual relationship front and center with an excuse for weird homophobic jokes, to actual gay couples in the movies being heavily advertised only to make extremely minimal appearances, some of which are seconds long (looking at you, star wars), to preaching about unashamed pride while deleting any gay scenes for foreign releases, its pretty clear why this company is doing this. Surprise surprise, they just want your money.
And some of yall fork over your bucks every. fucking. time.
And then you keep getting disappointed, but some of you never learn.
If you want change for lgbt rep, and I mean real change instead of this performative crap, you need to vote with your wallet.
Boycott disney.
And if you need more reasons to do so, It literally takes one google search to find out about more of their toxicity, from the mistreatment of workers to supporting literal concentration camps.
Just sitting there taking disney’s crap is just going to convince them that they dont need to change, so they won’t. They’re going to do the bare minimum in terms of equality in order to get the maximum profit from both the heavy homophobes to the viewers who watch luca over and over because you like the idea of a gay couple in head cannon because, once again, disney is doing the bare minimum by denying any sort of lgbt rep in the movies because that kind of rep can’t be monetized as well.
Boycotting disney is the only way.
You’ll probably find good things to watch elsewhere anyway.

What’s going on with the MHA fandom?!
(tw: mentions of pedophilia)
I hope I might piss some people off with this one, but I would like to remind everyone that:
Sexualizing kids and teens is not ok...
Including in anime
and including male characters
If i see one more tiktok sexualizing Bakugou (who is 16) as well as other characters of MHA, I’m gonna go on a report spree.
I guess it would be ok if the people making these posts were the same age as the characters (though it would still be iffy) but these posters are straight up adult weaboos who are to the MHA male cast as neckbeards are to lolis.
It’s not ok for pedophilia in the anime fandom, even when the genders are reversed.

Full offense but...
I fucking hate when people make tropes about trans characters being outed. Especially when the trans character was trying to go stealth.
There are plenty of ways to make a good au or headcanon about a trans character WITHOUT this trope. Like:
When a character is openly trans surrounded by supportive people
When a character successfully goes stealth and doesn’t want to come out and is NOT outed, where you simply make note of how they’re trans (through backstory or other ways)
When a character is not out, but is finding ways to come out because they want to be open about being trans
But people almost exclusively make aus about a trans character who doesn’t want to be outed, or just wants to be stealth, that is outed against their will, like:
The cliche ‘walk in on character while they’re getting dressed’
Being blackmailed or outed by someone who knows their “LiTtLe SeCrEt”
It really pisses me off because not only are these tropes pretty much EVERYWHERE, it brings on the idea that trans people HAVE to come out. People HAVE to know them as transgender.
And this is a horrifically transphobic and dangerous notion.
So, a word of advice to fanfic writers, au creators, and pretty much anyone who writes about trans characters (especially if you’re cis)
IF YOUR TRANS CHARACTER WANTS TO BE STEALTH, JUST LET YOUR TRANS CHARACTER BE STEALTH!!!!!!
(By the way, this can also go for any other type of lgbtq+ character as well, I just talked about trans characters because it’s the most relevant to me)
