I've had writers block for about 5 months now and it physically pains me to open the tab, look at all those words, and just not be able to write anything. I just cant write.
Even though what i previously wrote wasnt that good (1st draft) its still better than nothing. And thats exactly what i've written in forever. Nothing.
How do i get out of this slump?
If I were you I'd try to find ways of writing that don't let your brain know that you're writing until it's too late. Grab a pen or pencil and some paper, for example. Or open the notes app on your phone. Or open an email to a friend or to yourself and start to write in that.
Let the other thing be and start something new.
Or if you don't want to do any of those, then go back to what you've done, print it all out, get a pen and start making notes as a reader on what doesn't work for you. See if you can spot the last place the story was on the rails and working and if there's a place the story went wrong a little before you stopped.
