I swung by the school supplies section of the mall and decided to buy a small whiteboard set, the cheapest they had, mainly for my language learning. It has helped SO MUCH, and also I draw.

I think a lot of people (including the Ember Island Players) forget that Sokkas comic relief doesn’t come from him being the puns guy but from him being the worlds most miserable little pessimistic guy. He’s on a trip to save the world with two extremely overpowered idealists and an extremely overpowered tank going through a rebellion phase and he’s 15 years old and trying to put them all on toddler leashes and hating the spirt world which keeps spitting in his face and bullying him specifically. Him being miserable is why he’s so endearing.

I’ve seen this trend with Azula but I would really like to see the same thing with the rest of the cast, specifically Katara and Suki. Heavy on Suki, considering how traumatic it must have been being thrown into a maximum security prison presumably for the rest of your life at only 15, and slowly lose hope of ever escaping if not for Kyoshi :(

I think it's reasonable for Katara to keep talking about her mother

I've heard a lot of people in the atla fandom making fun of Katara for always bringing up her mothers death, and honestly, some of the jokes are incredibly funny. However, she definitely doesn't deserve all the hate for it. First of all, she doesn't mention it as much as some of you make it out to be. Besides, most of the time, it's pretty reasonable and not elaborated upon too much. Secondly, some people need to hear that if you think Katara constantly yapping about her mom is funny, then Zuko's obsession with "restoring his honor" should be as well. If you think about it, their situations are quite similar. They're just two kids who keep talking about a traumatic experience with their parents whenever they can, and ultimately pay the price of being mocked on the internet for it. What I wanted to say was, don't be a hypocrite. Berate both of them while you're at it. Back to Katara, the reason why I find her behaviour appropriate, is because I can relate. My father passed away 6 months ago, and somethimes I catch myself mentioning him in a casual conversation. Most of the time, I don't do it purposely. The death of a parent isn't something that leaves your mind after some time. It's always there, lingering in the backround, and whenever you get the slightest reminder of them, those thoughts come to the surface. Having said that, it's not surprising that Kya's on her mind so much, especially during the war. The war that took her away. She's surrounded with the soldiers who wear the same armor as her mothers k*ller. Not to mention Sokka, her brother with whom she spends almost all of her time with, looks IDENTICAL to Kya. To sum it all up, they'll never make me hate you Katara, baby you're mine forever girl.

my fave greek history story to tell is that of agnodice. like she noticed that women were dying a lot during childbirth so she went to egypt to study medicine in alexandria and was really fucking good but b/c it was illegal for women to be doctors in athens she had to pretend to be a man. and then the other doctors noticed that she was 10x better than them and accused her of seducing and sleeping with the women patients. like they brought her to court for this. and she just looked at them and these charges and stripped in front of everyone like “yeah. im not fucking your wives” and then they got so mad that a woman was better at their jobs then them that they tried to execute her but all her patients came to court and were like “are you fucking serious? she is the reason you have living children and a wife.” so they were shamed into changing the law and that is how women were given the right to practice medicine in athens

Tim getting stuck in the past (temporarily) and trying to avoid the Bats while also running amuck and leaving chaos in his wake like a good Gotham vigilante AU, right.

Somehow a series of unfortunate shenanigans he winds up as, like, Vicki Vale's (or some other bothersome Gotham journalist/reporter's) cameraman.

Just.

Imagine, okay.

Something happens, the Waynes and/or Bats show up and then the press, because of course.

Vicki Vale's (or whoever) is there front and center being all...Vicki Vale (or whoever) along with their unassuming cameraman who is just kind of there?

(Meanwhile Tim is like Scheming and Plotting and being his usual delightful gremlin of horrible human being - presumably - trying to get home and making everyone's lives miserable at the same time?)

And then.

Tim gets back to his time - and Bruce and the others are like.

YOU.

Because they clearly remember that menace of a cameraman Tim as Vicki Vale's (or whoever's) cameraman and suddenly so many things make a Terrible Kind of Sense.

Tim is just like, heh, yeah. >:D
