It's amazing what our local writer thinks up when it comes to "what ifs"
Faking a relationship? Absolutely amazing.
But what if they were spies, or going deep undercover, and knew their every move was going to be watched?
What if they played on stereotypes or exaggerations just to see if they can get whoever is spying on them to look away or shut off the cameras/bugs entirely?
What if they rehearsed them having sex in front of the camera, but never actually having sex on camera? Friends with benefits would fit right in with this!
Now to find a way to properly execute this in writing

Major wish list item for fiction rn: characters actually communicating about/during sex, and this includes giving verbal consent because the bar is really fuckin’ low right now
but furthermore, wish we could leave behind the idea that a person Just Knowing what their lover would like is sexy, and adopt the truth that it is asking that is sexy. I have read too many sex scenes where the characters literally don’t speak a word to each other. Let’s be real here, I feel like if your fictional couple is supposed to be a healthy relationship, I feel like giving them the maturity to communicate with each other is a good thing
also, no more “losing one’s virginity is terrifying and/or very painful” shit. Looking at you, Sarah J. Maas. It’s not just promoting the idea that sex just inherently involves fear and pain for women, it’s also promoting the idea that you aren’t supposed to speak up if something hurts, which is just??????
