So I haven’t been on tumblr since I finished university a year and a half ago. Truth be told I’d locked myself out. Returning now as a way of continuing to create and as an outlet to showcase it.

If there’s anyone out there with hand/arm issues that affect their dexterity, grip and general movement…

My final major project at uni is centered around you! I want to make attractive and easy to use/wear activewear aimed at women (although men and anyone without a specific gender are more than welcome to give their input) with and without these issues.

If you would like to help me develop this range, please message me! It doesn’t matter if you are interested in sports/sportswear or not as I really need some input on fastenings and things that do and don’t work for you as well as anything that could help me pattern cut things to better suit your needs.

Also, if you don’t fall into this group but you feel you have some valid information that could help me, i.e. you’re a sports therapist, carer, physiotherapist etc, please get in touch. The more response I get, the better my collection will be at tackling the problems with average clothing/underwear!

Hey, saw your post about hand, finger, wrist, dexterity post. As a guitarist and sufferer of constant wrist problems and general annoyances, I'm very interested! What are the details?

Hello anonymous person! Thank you for your message.

I'm hoping to create a line of sportswear that appeals to both 'average' consumers as well as anyone who does have dexterity difficulties. At the minute, I'm trying to interview as many people who hands and arms cause them problems as I can; I'd be asking about the specific issue you have and how it affects you on a day to day basis. I need to know things such as what fastenings and fabrics are easy or difficult to use, what everyday tasks are a problem and just some general opinions on things really!

It won't be formal in any way, but I will ensure I am the only person with access to your name & contact details. The only other people who will see your answers are my marking tutors. If I'm using the words problems or issues, I don't mean any offence at all, there just seems to be a lack of a better word and hopefully this wont get too personal but if you want to stop taking part at any point, you are more than welcome to say so. It is up to you whether you want to communicate on tumblr or we can switch to emails. I think I've covered everything but feel free to send another message if there's anything specific you want to know before committing.
