SOCIAL HOUSING IN AMASYA
Tumblr media
Amasya had been accused to various interventions during the history and it’s physical and geographical qualities have been changed so far.
The main aim was bringing the old Amasya city life back with it’s street’s physical and demographical qualities and interactions once has been set up with the river and the other coast of the city with the pier, harbour, bridge and beach like coast.
The zoned characteristic of the Amasra turned the site into a place where the calm is not a choice but a must. Commercial and daily life around the center increase the dynamism whereas people living in the city prefers where the life stops and waits for the sound of river and the picturesque landscape of the mountains. So the site proposes a isolated district by putting a certain barrier between the upper road and creating inner streets  for the and well connected coast.

Arkitera Travel Scholarship
As a scholar of Arkitera and Geberit, I have organized a trip to Russia in order to look for the 20th century of Soviet Architecture.
Tumblr media
Revolution have been affected the old Russia in many ways. Not only the Russia but also the rest of the world. Everytime we look in different disciplines, we discover many  approach produced out of revolution.
Design, art and architecture emerged in revolution in a avangarde manner and both affected the way it’s been lived and from how it’s been going to be lived.
In that journey, I tried to look for the yesterdays of Russian architectural period in a theme called “Time Pasts”. In Russia, time has been passed very rich. In order to look what has been changed or not changed during 20th century, I tried to discover, learn, observe and tell the Avangarde Soviet Architecture, Stalinist Architecture, Modern Soviet Architecture and Contemporary Architecture eras of Russia.

Göbektaşı Chains
A parametric installation proposal for the hall of METU Architecture Faculty called Göbektaşı
Generative Design Course
A parametric installation proposal for the hall of METU Architecture Faculty called Göbektaşı.
System looks for the possible combinations of a hanging unit. Grid casette system on the ceiling creates a reference system and algorithm creates a random hang using the parameters of height, opennes and human existence.
Design that will be the installation above the skylight aims to enpower this qualities inside of Göbektaşı place in our faculty. Expressing the idea of the coming nature from skylight and sprawl in the build enviroment should be a main concept of the project. And our design is a representation of this metaphor.
Flexibility is main intention by creating this moduler panelled chain that enable people to add, chance or hang something on it. Also, weather condion could be felt due to its dynamic structure.

Home as a method for embracing the city
İstanbul as an Infinite Articulation Space - National Competition - Equivalent Winner
In a metropolis organized by multilayered and speed, surprises, opportunities, new relations, new mergers and new possibilities are expected to emerge. Very multi-layered - multivariate - very dense like Istanbul; Is it a city in which many rulers actually have “many” possibilities? Or is this multiplicity of cities engulging the prospects of modern in homeless / unfortunate or people live but are not alive?
The region, which is now called Kurtuluş, extends to the beginning of the 19th century, constitutes an exact representation of this multiplicity today. Although it is still known as an Armenian / Greek neighborhood, it is actually a neighborhood that contains people from all ethnic groups, economic classes, and is expected to be colored due to these characteristics. . This situation creates the homeless inhabitants of alienated places, that is, the city where they live, and creates urban scenarios that do not interfere and use the street as a road only.

A New Public Law
A master plan decision for cities with very high density like Manhattan
Çuhadaroğlu Aluminium - National Competition - Special Mention
The City of New York has been implementing a new public law that aims to improve the quality of the public spaces throughout the city in the already existing buildings. With the new law, all the building determined with their space qualifications will have to have sufficient public space to be served for the citizens.
This rule is being expected to be applied to the already existing buildings with exterior attachments or interior evacuations. Upcoming building expects to be applied to the same specifications.
Room, Old English rūm, described as space that can be occupied or where something can be done. One of the leading architects of the project MG explains the approach as: “if we define the spaces that people get interact with eachother in, rooms can be the smallest part of the spaces that the events happen in. Although there’re variety of spaces, we can simply divide the spaces as the public and private spaces which people can reach or not. The law tries to force the land owners to have some amount of open rooms (spaces) for the use of the public.”

A Lotus of Cultivation
A place for cultivation and exploration in Eymir.
2nd year, 2nd semester studio project.
Project looks for the possible ways of experiencing topography.
While reaching a hill, create various stops for cultivation of the self and at the end leave an empty road to continue the process. The one way approach always requires a look to the back and necessity of cultivation again.
In order to look for the zig-zag, possible views, sounds, inclination are taken as a parameters. Basic structure is not supposed to interrupt the connection between the nature and the self.
