I’ve seen a lot of speculation that the show is leapfrogging Benedict (again) and Eloise to do Francesca’s season for season 4. I suppose they could do that, but it would be detrimental. If Francesca marries John at some point this season, he’d have to drop dead almost immediately for Francesca to be next. I would think the show would want to keep John around for at least a full season and make us really like him so his death is a gut punch to the audience. Also, in the books they’re married for almost 2 years. It gives more weight to Francesca’s grief (and explores her infertility) than if they’re married for only a few weeks. I suppose they could do a time jump between seasons 3 and 4, but are they planning to make Benedict a 40 year old bachelor? If they hold her for season 5 or 6 they can also add John and Michael (Michaela?) to the main cast in season 4 so we’re invested in them come Francesca’s story.

I don’t pretend to know what they’re planning and I’m just along for the ride, but I would hope they’d do Benedict at least before Fran.

The thing about Bridgerton that I love, going back to the first season, is that watching it feels the same way reading a silly romance novel feels. It’s not historically accurate by any stretch of the imagination. It’s frothy and extravagant. The balls and the flowers and the dresses are over the top sumptuous. It’s a fantasy wrapped up in organza and tulle. And I love it for that alone. Bridgerton, they could never make me hate you.

So what if the final episode of season 3 takes place at a ball? We’ve all anticipated the first half of the season mainly focuses on Pen’s glow up and lessons with Colin and the back half focuses more on Whistledown. Well, in the books, *SPOILERS* the Whistledown reveal happens at a ball. (I think it’s Daphne and Simon’s ball if I’m remembering correctly so obviously that has to be changed for the show). But Benedict’s book also starts with a ball. A masquerade (Violets final ball at Bridgerton house before she moves out to make way for Kate and Anthony, right?). So I’m just saying all these events could converge. I don’t expect a lot of Kate and Anthony. Maybe they’ll send them off to Aubrey Hall because Kate is pregnant or something. Anyway I don’t think they’ll be around much. But maybe at the end of the season, Violet decides it’s time to move on from being Viscountess and takes a different house for her and the 4 youngest children so throws a masquerade last hurrah at the Bridgerton home and that’s where the Lady Whistledown stuff comes to a head and also happens to be where a certain young woman sneaks in to have her Cinderella story and we set up for season 4.

Probably not, but one can dream. Just give Benedict the lead already! I need more of him. MORE!

Girls 5 Eva is the best show on TV and deserves at least 6 seasons.

So, in the books, Cressida marries some ancient rich guy who turns out to be not so rich. Cressida looks pretty miserable here and her parents are talking to an old guy so I wonder if her fate is similar.

Cressida’s sleeves are out of control this season. She’s going to take someone’s eye out. They’re a public health hazard.
