silly leverage headcanon of the day: eliot taught parker how to french braid her hair. it’s the kind of skill that you miss out on when you don’t have anyone to teach you and no one you trust to touch you, and it’s also the kind of skill eliot happens to have in his wheelhouse, definitely because he’s "dated a lot of hairstylists" and totally not because two french braids keep the hair out of his eyes really well

the same guy directed both the tv series of american gods & pushing daisies, actually!
pushing daisies is really a show like no other. the plot is about death and murder, but the themes are about love and beauty in the mundane. its a surreal & absurd & comical fairytale… and also a crime show. it’s sweet & beautiful & almost reminds you of childhood movies, until you get hit with some double entendre out of left field lol. the sets & backdrops somehow contain the bright colours that only existed when you were a kid. the concept is amazing & unique, and will make you ugly cry while thinking about the meaning of life. it’s so gorgeous.

the thing about parker wearing heels and doing crazy acrobatic climbing shit is it doesn't break the immersion in the slightest because i one hundred percent believe she would wear heels on a job just for funsies.
#thats a link to the right time in the video (1.44) but i couldnt find a video with JUST that scene :(#they eventually used part of that flashback in an episode but i cant remember which one...#the ice man job maybe? cause it had to do w how she was worried about grifting when sophie was away#& she recalls the wink & shimmy bit & the fork incident & then calls sophie saying 'i will NOT be fine i stabbed that guy with a fork!' lol#but the extended bit with sophies confusion & parkers 'im not a people person' is so funny#they also tried to put that flashback in another episode where shes talking to eliot but again i forgot which one#im gonna say... the snow job? a deleted scene from the snow job?#but nonetheless - she can def do all that acrobratic stuff. shes parker! physics are optional for her.#i remember theres a scene in the second david job where we see sophie taking off her shoes to run too so its def another Parker Thing TM#heels are just an extra fun challenge when the job seems like its gonna be too boring!#the team probs wont let her do jobs blindfolded or one-handed so heels are the next best option. a compromise#leverageposting
