Finally Enrolled! Hello Batch 2021!
So I've finally decided to take up medicine at UERM. I've already weighted the pros and cons and UERM definitely wins my heart. It's so far from where I live though but it can be managed. I'm so excited for August already! Medical school, I'm so ready for you. As of now, I'm really just enjoying my vacation - going to the beach and binge watching Korean dramas. I might probably visit a country or two before school starts. I know it's going to be a hard battle but it'll be worth it :)

On the road to medical school
So I decided to finally start blogging about my journey into becoming a doctor. This is actually more for me than for anyone else who might happen to stumble into my blog.
I am a graduate of the University of the Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and it has been my life-long dream to become an expert in the field of medicine.
People have this connotation that psychology graduates have a weaker background when it comes to medicine but I dare prove them wrong. True enough, we may not have “enough” biology or a background in anatomy and physiology which is the CORE of medicine, but everything is learnable (This is what I believed in during College). I hope passion and dedication (and a lot of coffee and sleepless nights) can get me through medicine.
Believe me or not, before entering College, I had thoughts of taking up Communication Arts or Broadcast Communication. I also went on internships for online magazines and press media. But my parents are skeptics (I still love them though) and did not fully support me on my... “hobby” as they called it. So I guess it was kind of a relief for them that I also happen to be into science. I am a HUGE NERD when it comes to science. My childhood dream was to be a scientist. (Hah!) But in the long run, I aspired to be one of the greatest doctors there ever is. (dream big, iska)
And so here I am, about to enter medicine in a few months, although I haven’t fully decided on which medical school to enroll in. (Hopefully somewhere I can fully develop all of the skills I need)
Who knows where this road will take me?
