I agree w your response to the previous ask. Honestly I’d rather have a new story that would expand the canon than Disney doing the same thing, just in a different medium. The live action trend was a little fun for a while but it’s getting so exhausting at this point.
I'd love a new story considering how much of a hit Encanto was.
Tbh I've never liked the live action adaption trend. They barely add anything to the existing work, they're mostly poorly made, and the few times they have tried to expand upon ideas or existing themes on the originals, were bad ideas and poorly executed.
And that's not even mentioning what an insult to the animation medium it is for media outlets to grasp on this shit and run with the idea of live action being superior medium and this stepping stone into being taken seriously.
It's not even just with animation either. The Last of Us, from what I heard got a GOOD adaptation that apparently DID do a good job expanding on stuff from the games, and the press for it basically shat on video games as an artform. So even when it's good, it sucks

In light of the news about Moana, how do we feel about the possibility of an Encanto live action? Personally, I’m scared and shaking like a leaf imagining LMM (or any other actor) playing Bruno. 🤡🤡🤡
I think Disney was intentionally mindful about casting Colombians for the voice cast of Encanto so i don't think they would be stupid enough to walk back on that for the sake of putting Lin in a fucking Bruno costume lmao. Not to mention if they got Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho to reprise their roles i don't see why they couldn't do that with other actors.
Honestly though they could cast John Leguizamo himself as Bruno and I'd still hate this trend of doing live action adaptions of their animated movies. Like, Moana came out in 2016!!! What nostalgia is there to even capitalize on there???

With Pepa typically being short for Josefa/Josefina, implying that to be her full name, it feels like Bruno's name should have been another J name to kinda fit the theming it seemed like Alma and Pedro were going with in naming the triplets (Julieta, Josefina, and....Jose? Jorge? Julio? Idk)
It's a small detail that probably goes over a lot of people's head since i don't think many know Pepa is typically short for those J names, but it kind of adds to the sense of alienation between Bruno and his sisters.

I just want something more complicated that just "Bruno does/doesn't want kids"

Oh is she just gonna be "loud emotional woman" hm, not crazy about that :/

Holy shit they actually validated her feelings??? and didn't treated her like a hysterical woman??? God bless. I hope she catches a break though i feel so bad that she's forced wear her heart on her sleeve like that :(.
Favorite moment
It's a tie between her "I'm trying my best, you're lucky it's not a hurricane!" and the ending where she's dancing with Félix in the hail storm.
Idea for a story
I want her to talk things out with Bruno about her wedding. I wanna see Bruno try and make up for what happened. She deserves to be happy.
Unpopular opinion
I don't really like the surface level observation of "Wow Dolores must have had it hard with Pepa's thundering" as i think thunderstorms can be a sort of soothing white noise too.

Her and Félix are so perfect 🥺
Favorite headcanon
Pigging backing off of my unpopular opinion, i like to think while it was hard to do so and didn't always work, Pepa was sometimes able to use her thundering to block out other noise whenever Dolores was overwhelmed. I think her kids have a favorite of her weather that helps comfort them!

Not sure if it's unpopular but more one I haven't heard, but if I had to choose one character to give a love interest to in a hypothetical future installment of Encanto, it would be Luisa.
Favorite relationship
You don't really see her interact with anyone besides Mirabel but i do genuinely love how sweet she is to her and the way she physically protects her during her song.
Favorite headcanon
I'm not sure if it's a hc or from a Jared Q&A but I've seen a lot of people say she loves stuffed animals and I think that's super cute.
